CENTAUR has the capability to generate structured mesh layers appropriate to resolve the wake regions. Prismatic or hexahedral layers can “grow” from the sides of a wake surface or a wake block. Structured wake meshes are commonly used along sharp and blunt trailing edges of wings or blades to accurately model the transition from the boundary layer to the wake.
