The flow feature detector can be used either for visualization / inspection of the flow field, or as a guiding tool to decide where the mesh needs to be adjusted (e.g. smaller length scales). In the regions where features are detected, sources can be placed to increase the local mesh resolution or the Adapter can be used for automatic local refinement.
