Arterial Bifurcation – CENTAUR Software

Artery Passage

The geometry meshed using CENTAUR represents a model of a “Miller cuff” that is employed in bypass grants for heart patients. Prisms were generated in the boundary layer with tetrahedra created in the middle of the arteries.

The geometry was contributed by Dr. Thien How of the Department of Clinical Engineering at the University of Liverpool.
