This geometry represents a roadway tunnel exit complete with the surrounding terrain. This model is used to simulate the environmental conditions near the tunnel’s exit.

The CAD model for the tunnel was intersected with the actual topography data for the surrounding region to form the complete geometry. The topography data and the tunnel were both stored in STL files. A hybrid mesh was completed for the case with a prismatic boundary layer mesh grown from all terrain and tunnel surfaces.
